Carpentry Role
Description
We are looking for a Carpenter who is driven by the material they work with. The ideal candidate is a passionate crafter and comfortable working in a high-demand environment. They should be confident with their capabilities to build a wide range of custom goods, from floating shelves and tables to refinishing doors and milling lumber. In this role, you will work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment in resolving problems and making routine recommendations is necessary. The ideal candidate loves working with their hands and is looking to learn as well as provide input to further enhance and improve our custom order production.
Responsibilities

Set up and break down the workspace.

Keeping workspaces clear of hazards to secure health and safety precautions and procedures.

Work with reclaimed materials to create or fix items like, but not limited to, shelves, tables, doors, and windows.

Effectively maintain, read, and update the order board to keep customer order production running smoothly.

Work directly with the Retail Manager to complete orders from the custom order binder.

Ensure that the ‘Completed’ orders are relayed to the Retail/Front of house.

Communicate effectively with clients if/when questions on custom orders come up such as finishes and final dimensions.

Requirements

High organizational skills are required.

Ability to take initiative and problem solve

Operational knowledge of trade tools, equipment, methods and techniques used in carpentry.

Welding is a plus but not necessary.

Capacity to plan ahead and multitask a variety of different projects. Effectively managing time by being a forward thinker.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
